AMERICAN GRADUATE: LOUISIANA’S FUTURE, the 2014 half hour program and web discussion which spotlighted Louisiana’s new career diploma pathway, JumpStart.


– The high school graduation rate in the United States has reached a record high 81%.
– Louisiana’s high school graduation rate now stands at 74.6% (2014)
– America climbed from a modern low 71.7% high school graduation rate in 2001 to cross the 80% mark for the first time in 2012.
– If the nation continues this rate of high school graduation rate improvement, the U.S. is on pace for the Class of 2020 to hit the 90% mark.
